Systems Integration is what makes a network worthwhile.

 Without it, the individual components will not talk to each other.  Everyone may need access to data, printers, centralised email, faxing and data storage devices.  Sometimes only certain groups must have access to sensitive files.  Security too, is part of Systems Integration.

This is our bread and butter.  We can make the entire network sing from the same prayer book.
